Odette is part of a Catholic Relief Services program, the Emergency Plan to Eliminate Malnutrition (EPEM), which is run in conjunction with the Government of Rwanda and other partners.

EPEM’s objective is to help reduce stunting rates in children under 5 from 44% in the year 2010 to 28% in 2017. The program involves teaching people about nutritious foods, new agricultural techniques and saving money.
