CRS’s Food for Education (FFE) program in Honduras launched in Nov. 2012 with $17.7 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). FFE will benefit 53,863 children enrolled in 1,047 pre-primary and primary schools in the 17 municipalities of Intibuc‡, Honduras. The goal is to contribute to improving literacy in school-age children, attendance, retention, and attentiveness during class through the incentive of school meals and improving the quality of education for all children.
